     7 January 01 -  Well, I finally got around
to redoing the animation download page. 
I hope you find it much more easy to use. 
I am using a CGI script to write the animation 
to the screen where I can control the 
background color without making a html 
file for each animation.  
     I have also put 40 new animation up for 
download, some of these may be older ones
reworked, they are animations that I have
made for personal use over the last year.

And of course you will want to visit the animated Sherwood Forest page. You do not have to be in chat to view these pages. 20 August 98 - In support of Virtural Places Chat, I have created over 150 Avatars for use in the chat room. An Avatar is a small icon that represents you in the chat room. If you wish to try Virtural Places Chat Room, click this link. Then register in the chat room, download and install the software and log on. Once there type in the location box at the top: "http://www/ozarksoft.com/vpavatar/index.html" to access the Avatar Site.

11 August 98 - I have changed the way you access the animation files. I had them by month of orgin and that was fine when I was adding 30 or so each month. I now have the categorized by content. It will be easier for you to find what you are looking for. I also put them all on one page and took off the no-frames pages since no one used them anyway.

27 June 98 - Well I finally installed Internet Explorer 4.1 on my computer and as normal I found that the MIDI music would not play. Every time Microsoft comes out with a new version I have the same problem. I ran it down and found that if I down loaded the latest version of the Crescendo Active X plug-in that it worked just fine. So if you have the same problem go to the Crescendo site and download the latest. I keep three browsers on my computer. Netscape, Explorer and Opera and it can be a real headache to get them all to work with MIDI.

27 May 98 - I apologize to all of the Internet Explorer users out there. When I entered the tags for MIDI play in my last reincarnation of these pages I misplaced a tag and you guys were hearing the song two times but, with only a delay of 1 second between. This made for some terrible sounds. Well it should be fixed now. Sorry. Check out the Juke Box Page to hear them all.

29 April 98 - I have started making my own MIDI files. All of the MIDI files on this site were made by me. I hope you enjoy my endeavor.

I just uploaded the October animations. This month there are 18 new ones, I hope you find them useful. Check out the Top Animation Pick for September.
This may be all of the animation I do for a while. I have put out over 500 of them last year. That is well over one a day 365 days. I am starting to get a little burn out. I am also starting a new project of making my own MIDI music files. The "yesterday" on the main page is one of mine. If I can find some more server disk space put some more of them up. That is another reason why I have to slow down on the animations I am way over my limit on server disk space. Until next month enjoy the surfing.

How do I put MIDI music on my home page??

I continue to get E-mail wanting to know how to put MIDI music on a web page. Since this takes a lot of time to put into each E-mail request I have decided to place a text file here for you to download. It has the HTML tags that I use. These tags have been checked with Netscape 3.x and above, Internet Explorer 3.x and above, and Opera which does not use plug-ins to play MIDI. I have only checked the Crescendo and Yamaha MIDI plug-ins. And of course no plug-in at all. The tags work on all of these so they should work for any browser that supports MIDI files. To Download click MIDI tags. In most cases this will bring up a text document in your browser. Just go to the File Menu and save it to your hard drive.
